Amaranth-Harvest and storage

Amaranth will reach harvesting stage within one month after planting. Two methods of harvesting are followed in amaranths.

The first is uprooting of the whole plant. Grown up plants are pulled out at 30, 45 and 55 days after sowing.

The second is clipping at regular intervals. The first clipping is taken 25 to 30 days after sowing and subsequent at 20 to 25 days interval. Total 2-4 clippings can be taken in a crop period.
