Chethikoduveli- Variety information

Agni: It is a variety of chethikoduveli released from Collage of Horticulture, Vellanikkara (KAU). Best for intercropping in coconut gardens in central Kerala. Crop duration 18 months. The plants are robust, with long broad leaves and thick roots. Plumbagin content: 0.8%. Suitable for extractives. Raw root yield 3400 kg /acre. Dry root yield 1100 kg /acre.

Mridhula: It is a variety of chethikoduveli released from Collage of Horticulture, Vellanikkara (KAU). Crop duration 18 months. Best for intercropping in coconut gardens in central Kerala. The plants are medium tall, with small leaves and lengthy narrow roots. Pumbagin Content 0.22%. Raw root yield 4000 kg / acre.  Dry root yield 1200 kg / acre.
