IISR Mahima: It is released from IISR, Calicut. Crop duration 200 days. Resistant against nematodes. Green rhizome yield 22.2 t/ha. Low fiber content.

IISR Rejatha: It is released from IISR, Calicut. Crop duration 200 days. Green rhizome yield 22.4 t/ha.

IISR Varada: It is released from IISR, Calicut. Crop duration 220 days. Green rhizome yield 22.6 t/ha. Low fiber content.

Karthika: It is released from College of Horticulture, Vellanikkara. The variety is tolerant to rhizome rot and bacterial wilt. Dual purpose. Green rhizome yield 19 t/ha. Recovery 21.6 %.
