Sree Kala: It is a variety released from CTCRI, Trivandrum. This is an early variety with 7.5 months duration. The tubers have 35-37 per cent dry matter, 23-25 per cent starch and 1-1.3 per cent sugar.
Sree Latha: It is a variety released from CTCRI, Trivandrum. Duration 7.5- 8 months. Plant climb to a height of 2.5-3 m. Vines twine to the left. Tubers are oblong to fusiform with creamy white flesh. Yield 25 T/ ha. Cooking quality fair, non bitter with good flavour and acceptable taste. Starch content 24.4 %. Shelf life of tuber 2 1/2 – 3 months.
