Alampur Baneshan: Originated in the Andhra Pradesh region of South India and is considered as one of the finest dessert mangos in the country. The fruit are large, averaging 400-450 gm. They are oblique-oblong. The skin color is green, even when ripe, and is overlaid with characteristic corky dots covering the fruit surface

Alphonso: One of the most popular variety of India, it is mainly grown in Ratnagiri area of Maharashtra and to a small extent in parts of south Gujarat and Karnataka. Its fruits are medium -sized (250g), with attractive blush towards the basal end. Pulp is firm, fibreless with excellent orange colour. It has good sugar: acid blend. Keeping quality is good. It is susceptible to spongy tissue.

Baneshan: are the choicest quality fruit seldom preferred by importing countries because they lack attractive colour.

Bangalora: The Totapuri or Ginimoothi mango is a cultivar that is widely grown in south India.[1] It also goes by the names Bangalora, Collector, Kallamai, Kili Mooku, Gilli, Mukku, Sandersha, and Thevadiyamuthi. The tree is medium size with greenish yellow fruits.

Bennet Alphonso (Sindhuram): The mango cultivar Bennet Alphonso is a derivative of the Alphonso, the premier mango of India.

Chandrakaran: It is known to be one of the most popular varieties of mangoes in Kerala, it is also the most expensive one to be found in the state. It is used in the traditional households for making mambazha pulissery.

Kalapady: Kalapady is a hardy variety and can last even for a week on the shelf or in your fruit basket even when fully ripe. It is smaller than Mundappa or Kadri, and has a small seed inside. Its thin skin is favoured by growers as well as gourmets. Very sweet, its flesh has a creamy texture.

Mulgoa: Fruit is large roundish-oblique in shape and yellow in colour; high fruit quality and good keeping quality.

Mundappa: Mundappa is a local variety of mango from Dakshina Kannada. It is a red and round variety of mango.

Muvandan: This variant is found in Kerala throughout the mango season. Most of the people prefer to have the moovandan mangoes when it’s nearly-ripe with salt and spices.

Neelum: A heavy -yielding, late -season mango in south India, it has regular -bearing habit. Fruits are medium -sized with good flavour. Flesh is soft, yellow and fibreless. Keeping quality is good.

Pairi: A native to coastal Maharashtra including Goa, it is an early -maturing, heavy and regular – bearer mango. Fruits are medium -sized with good quality. It has good flavour with sugar: acid blend. Flesh is soft, primuline -yellow and fibreless. Keeping quality is poor.

Prior (Priyur): It is a variety of mango recommended for cultivation in Kerala. It is one of the tastiest varieties.

Suvarnarekha: Fruit medium ovate oblong fruit, green in colour with prominent red blush on the shoulders; good keeping quality; bearing is heavy.

Vellaikolamban: It is a variety of mango recommended for cultivation in Kerala.

Hybrid varieties:

Hybrid No 45: It is a variety of mango recommended for cultivation in Kerala. It is a cross between Bennet Alphonso and Himayuddin.

Hybrid No 87: It is a variety of mango recommended for cultivation in Kerala. It is a cross between Kalapady and Alampur Baneshan.

Hybrid No 151: It is a variety of mango recommended for cultivation in Kerala. It is a cross between Kalapady and Neelum.
