Neem cake extract is effective against all stem boring insects. It is prepared from deoiled neem cake.

Take 100 gm of deoiled neem cake. The cake should be kept in a cloth bag and pour hot water over it. The solution should be kept overnight in a covered container.

Application of 50 gram of powdered neem cake at 5^th and 7^th month of planting in the leaf axils of banana controls pseudostem attack.
