| Reaction of the Fertilizer in Soil |
Ammonium Sulphate Nitrate
when applied in soil will form ammonium, sulphate and nitrate ion which can
be taken by the plant. Ammonium Sulphate Nitrate reacts with soil colloids and replaces basic cations with ammonium ions. Continuous application result in increase in acidity. |
| Situations where Recommended | Ammonium Sulphate Nitrate is suitable for basic fertilizing of most agricultural plants (in spring before sowing or planting, or, as the case may be, before the beginning, of vegetation), also for additional application during the vegetation. With regard to 13 % of sulphur content the fertilizer may be used for fertilizing of wheat, oil rape, potatoes, sugar beet, clover, lucerne, hop and vegetables. It can be applied before sowing, at sowing time or as a top-dressing, but it should not be applied along the seed. |
