Soil amendments – Sulphur

Sulphur is used in alkaline soil to reduce the soil pH. It makes plant nutrients available to the growing crops. Sulphur should be added to soil well ahead of planting.

Sulphur is also used in high sodium soils. The sulphur oxidizes and attaches itself to sodium, allowing the sodium to be leached deeper into the root zone.
