Leaf spot

Symptom

The spots produced are small, numerous in numbers with pale brown centre and reddish brown margin. Similar spots also occur on branches and pods. Under favourable environmental conditions, severe leaf spotting and defoliation occurs at the time of flowering and pod formation.

The fungus is seed-borne and also survives on plant debris in the soil. High humidity favours disease development. (C.O.: Cercospora canescens).

Management

Spray Carbendazim 50 WP (1 gram/litre of water) or Mancozeb 75 WP (3 gram/litre of water).
