Bud borer
Symptom
The pest mainly damages flowers. Larvae bore into buds and flowers and feed on them by making holes. Eggs are deposited singly on growing spikes. (C.O: Helicoverpa armigera).
Management
Collect and destroy damaged buds. Set light traps to control pest population. Spray neem garlic emulsion (20 ml neem oil + 20 gram garlic paste + 5 gram bar soap/litre of water).
