Cauliflower-Inter cultivation

Weeding should be done at regular intervals to keep down the weeds. Manual weeding is commonly practiced. Avoid deep cultivation as it may damage the crop.

In order to produce large sized curds, earth up the plant one month after transplanting. At the time of earthing up the plants are supported with soil to avoid toppling of the plant during head formation.

The second dose has to apply in one month after transplanting.

Cauliflower curds exposed to direct sun turn yellow and loose flavour. The curds should be protected from direct sunlight by covering them with leaves for a few days.

Give the first irrigation immediately after transplanting of seedlings. Subsequent irrigations are recommended at an interval of 8-10 days.
