Oil palm at 3rd year onwards
The nutrient recommendation for Oil palm at 3rd year onwards is 1200:600:1200 gram NPK/plant. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out.
The fertilizers dose needed is 2604 gram urea, 3330 gram rock phosphate and 2004 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.
The first split has to be applied in May-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 1302 gram, 1665 gram, 1002 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in September-October and the dosage is 1302 gram urea, 1665 gram rock phosphate, 1002 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant.
Fertilizers are applied within 2 m diameter around the palm and forked in.

The first split has to be applied in May-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 868 gram, 1110 gram, 668 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in September-October and the dosage is 868 gram urea, 1110 gram rock phosphate, 668 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant.

The first split has to be applied in May-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 434 gram, 555 gram, 334 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in September-October and the dosage is 434 gram urea, 555 gram rock phosphate, 334 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant.
