The nutrient recommendation of local varieties of rice grown on wetlands is 40:20:20 kg NPK/ha. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out for a cent and acre.

The fertilizers dose needed is 347 gram urea, 444 gram rock phosphate and 134 gram Muriate of Potash respectively for a cent. The corresponding quantity for an acre is 34.7 kg urea, 44.4 kg rock phosphate and 13.4 kg Muriate of Potash. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.

The first split has to be applied at the time of planting. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 115 gram, 444 gram, 67 gram respectively for a cent.

The corresponding quantity for an acre is 11.5 kg urea, 44.4 kg rock phosphate and 6.7 kg Muriate of Potash respectively.

The second dose has to apply in active tillering stage and the dosage is 115 gram urea for a cent. And for an acre the quantity is 11.5 kg urea.

The third dose has to be applied at panicle initiation stage. The fertilizer dose is 115 gram urea and 67 gram Muriate of Potash respectively for a cent. And for an acre the quantity is 11.5 kg urea and 6.7 kg Muriate of Potash.

In case of farmers using Factomphos, the basal fertilizer needed for an acre will be Factomphos 44.4 kg and Muriate of Potash 6.7 kg. In such case only 8.56 kg of urea is needed for the second dose and 8.56 kg urea is needed for third dose for an acre. The quantity of Muriate of Potash for the third dose remains the same (6.7 kg/ acre).

Lime or dolomite has to be applied in acid soils two weeks ahead of fertilizer application. Organic manure @ 20 kg/cent is recommended at planting time.

Short duration variety (Duration< 120 days.)

The nutrient recommendation of high yielding variety of rice grown in wet land of with duration below 120 days is 70:35:35 kg NPK/ha. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out for a cent and acre.

The fertilizers dose needed is 608 gram urea, 777 gram rock phosphate and 234 gram Muriate of Potash respectively for a cent. The corresponding quantity for an acre is 60.8 kg urea, 77.7 kg rock phosphate and 23.4 kg Muriate of Potash. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.

The first split has to be applied at the time of planting. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 401 gram, 777 gram, 117 gram respectively for a cent.

The corresponding quantity for an acre is 40.1 kg urea, 77.7 kg rock phosphate and 11.7 kg Muriate of Potash respectively.

In case of farmers using Factomphos, the basal fertilizer needed for an acre will be Factomphos 77.7 kg, 9.72 kg urea and Muriate of Potash 11.7 kg.

The fertilizers dose needed is 781 gram urea, 999 gram rock phosphate and 300 gram Muriate of Potash respectively for a cent. The corresponding quantity for an acre is 78.1 kg urea, 99.9 kg rock phosphate and 30.0 kg Muriate of Potash. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.

The first split has to be applied at the time of planting. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 258 gram, 999 gram, 150 gram respectively for a cent.

The corresponding quantity for an acre is 25.8 kg urea, 99.9 kg rock phosphate and 15.0 kg Muriate of Potash respectively.

The second dose has to apply in active tillering stage and the dosage is 261 gram urea for a cent. And for an acre the quantity is 25.8 kg urea.

The third dose has to be applied at panicle initiation stage. The fertilizer dose is 261 gram urea and 150 gram Muriate of Potash respectively for a cent. And for an acre the quantity is 25.8 kg urea and 15.0 kg Muriate of Potash.

In case of farmers using Factomphos, the basal fertilizer needed for an acre will be Factomphos 100 kg and Muriate of Potash 15 kg. In such case only 19.26 kg of urea is needed for the second dose and 19.26 kg urea for the third dose for an acre. The quantity of Muriate of Potash for the third dose remains the same (15 kg/ acre).
