General recommendation
Pepper at 3 year and above
The nutrient recommendation for Pepper planted 3 year and above is 50:50:150 gram NPK/plant. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out.
The fertilizers dose needed is 109 gram urea, 278 gram rock phosphate and 250 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.
The first split has to be applied in May-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 54 gram, 139 gram, 125 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in September-October and the dosage is 54 gram urea, 139 gram rock phosphate, 125 gram Muriate of Potash respectively for a plant.
Lime or dolomite has to be applied in acid soils two weeks ahead of fertilizer application. Organic manure @ 10 kg/plant is recommended in every year.
Manuring for pepper vines is to be done in basins taken around the plant, 10-15 cm deep and 50-75 cm radius, depending up on the growth of the plants.
