Chethikoduveli can be harvested in about 16-18 months after planting. The leaf starts drying up at the time of maturity.

The root tubers are dug out from the field and cleaned. Use hand glows to protect the hand from burning sensation. The rhizomes with attached tubers are marketed afresh.
