Cinnamon-Fertilizer information
Adult plants
The nutrient recommendation for Cinnamon at 10th year onwards is 200:180:200 gram NPK/plant. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out.
The fertilizers dose needed is 434 gram urea, 999 gram rock phosphate and 334 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.
The first split has to be applied in May-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 217 gram, 500 gram, 167 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in September-October and the dosage is 217 gram urea, 499 gram rock phosphate, 167 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant.
Lime or dolomite has to be applied in acid soils two weeks ahead of fertilizer application. Organic manure @ 20 kg/plant is recommended in every year.
Young plants
The nutrient recommendation for Cinnamon for First year is 20:20:25 gram NPK/plant. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out.
The fertilizers dose needed is 43 gram urea, 111 gram rock phosphate and 42 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.
The first split has to be applied in May-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 22 gram, 56 gram, 22 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in September-October and the dosage is 22 gram urea, 55 gram rock phosphate, 20 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant.
The dose has to be multiplied with the number of years of growth (1-10) to get the dosage for Cinnamon for different years of growth.
