The nutrient recommendation for Coconut grown under Red loam soils at 3rd Year onwards is 680:230:900 gram NPK/plant. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out.

The fertilizers dose needed is 1476 gram urea, 1277 gram rock phosphate and 1503 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.

The first split has to be applied in April-June. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 492 gram, 425 gram, 501 gram respectively per plant.
