Kalpa prathibha: It is a tall variety of coconut recommended for cultivation in Kerala. This variety has the potential to produce 23,275 nuts per hectare per year in West Bengal state. The quantity of tender nut water is 448 ml. Relatively drought tolerant. Regular bearer.
Kalpa raksha: This is a semi tall variety with sweet tender nut water and with higher resistance to root (wilt) disease of coconut. It comes to flowering by 54 months from planting. Its annual yield is 87 nuts/palm, 16.38 kg copra/palm and 10.65 kg oil/palm. The quantity of tender nut water is 290 ml. Large sized nuts.

Chowghat Orange Dwarf: It is a dwarf local variety of coconut. The palm comes up well in average management. It starts bearing regularly by 5th year and has an economic life span of 40 years. On an average 54 nuts are produced in a year. And the copra content and oil content are 128 g/ nut and 66 % respectively. Used for tender nut production.
Keramadhura: It is a green dwarf coconut variety noted for tender nuts and copra. It is developed at Regional Agricultural Research Station, Pilicode. Nut water 287 ml. Excellent quality. Yield 119 nut/palm. Coppra 196 gram/nut.
Malayan Green Dwarf: It is a dwarf exotic variety of coconut. The palm comes up well in average management. It starts bearing regularly by 7th year and has an economic life span of 40 years. Chandrasankara: Released by CPCRI The palms come to bearing early when compared to tall palms. It is a heavy yielder and produces 116 nuts/palm with a range of 100-150 nuts. The copra content in nut is 160-230 g. It is susceptible to drought and hence irrigation is required during summer months. The oil content is 68 %.
Kalpha Shankara It is a hybrid by crossing Chowghat Green Dwarf x West Coast Tall. The mean annual yield is 85 nuts per palm. The copra yield is 2.5 t/ha and oil is 1.69 t/ha. This hybrid was recommended for cultivation in root (wilt) disease prevalent tracts of Kerala.
