Fermented oil cakes are applied to the soil to enhance population of soil microbe. This inturn helps in improvement of soil health and fertility.

The ingredients include 1 kg of oil cake. The oil cake can be neem cake, ground nut cake, etc.

Take 1 kg ground nut cake and allow it for fermentation in 10 liters of water. To enhance insect repellent effect, 1 kg neem cake is also added to the mixture. The mixture in the drum should be turned frequently.

After 10 days, add 100 liter of water to the fermented mixture and apply in the field. To hasten the fermentation processes add a little quantity of curd.
