Kufri Jyothi: It is a variety of potato recommended for Kerala. Early variety. Suitable for cultivation in hills, plains and plateau. This variety still occupies more than 60% area under potato cultivation in India. Wide adaptability, early bulker and slow rate of degeneration. Moderately resistant to early and late blight. Immune to wart disease. Yield 250-300 q/ha. Easy to cook, texture floury, flavour mild, free from after-cooking discoloration.
Kufri Muthu: It is a variety of potato recommended for Kerala. Medium duration and resistant to late blight. Released for Nilgiris.
