Aarathi(ACV-1): Duration (120-135 Days ), Grain colour (Red), Station of release (Agricultural College, Vellayani) , Characteristics (Seed dormancy upto one month. Recommended for southern region for virippu season for delayed sowing and for situations where over-aged seedling may have to be planted. Moderately resistant to sheath blight, sheath rot and BPH).

Remya (MO-10): Duration (110 – 120 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RRS, Moncombu) , Characteristics (Moderately resistant to BPH, gall midge, sheath blight and sheath rot, semi-tall variety. Suitable for all the three seasons. Seed dormancy upto one month.).

Uma (MO-16): Duration (115 – 130 days (Punja) 120 – 135 days (Virippu)), Grain colour (Red. medium bold), Station of release (RRS, Moncombu) , Characteristics (Non-lodging, resistant to BPH and Gall Midge bold Biotype – 5. Dormancy upto 3 weeks. Suited  to three seasons especially to additional crop season  of Kuttanad.).

Kottarakkara-1 (Cheradi): Duration (140-145 Days ), Grain colour (Red), Station of release (ORARS, Kayamkulam) , Characteristics (For waterlogged deep soils).

Kumbham (KTR-3): Duration (165-175 Days ), Grain colour (Red, short bold), Station of release (ORARS, Kayamkulam) , Characteristics (Photosensitive, tolerant to lodging; suitable for eastern lateritic region; II crop component in koottumundakan system).

Lakshmi (Kayamkulam-1): Duration (175-80 Days ), Grain colour (Red), Station of release (RARS, Kayamkulam) , Characteristics (Suitable for second crop season. Moderately  resistant to leaf roller, blast, blight and sheath blight, fairly resistant to stem borer).

Makaram (KTR-2): Duration (160-165 Days ), Grain colour (Red, short bold), Station of release (RARS, Kayamkulam) , Characteristics (Photosensitive, suitable for eastern lateritic region; II crop component in koottumundakan system).

Mangala Mahsuri (PTB-53): Duration (140-145 Days ), Grain colour (Red, medium slender), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Multiple resistant, tolerant to iron toxicity and waterlogging. Good response to low fertilizer regimes).

Nila (PTB-48): Duration (160-180 Days ), Grain colour (Red, short bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Photosensitive capable of producing good grain and straw yields under low fertilizer application. Suitable for Karinkora cultivation. Highly resistant to gall midge. stem borer and sheath blight. Can be cultivated in areas where water supply is assured till the middle of January.).
