Annapoorna(PTB-35): Duration (95-100 Days ), Grain colour (Red, short bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Suitable for direct seeding. Susceptible to blast, sheath blight and BPH. Suited for I and III crop seasons. ).

Harsha (PTB-55): Duration (105 – 110 Days), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi), Characteristics (Suitable for direct seeding in rained lowlands, Moderate resistance to blast and moisture stress).

Jyothi (PTB-39): Duration (110-115 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Moderately tolerant to BPH and blast; : suitable for direct seeding, transplanting and special systems of Kole and Kuttanad).

Kairali (PTB-49): Duration (110-115 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Moderately resistant to blast, blight, gall midge and leaf folder. Can be cultivated in all the three seasons).

Kanchana (PTB-50): Duration (105-110 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Suitable for kole and Kuttanad regions. Resistant to blight, blast, stem borer and gall midge. Suitable for all seasons).

Karthika (MO-7): Duration (105-110 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RRS, Moncombu) , Characteristics (Suitable for growing in all three seasons. Moderate resistance to sheath blight, sheath rot and BPH. A good first crop component in Koottumundakan ).

Matta Triveni (PTB-45): Duration (100-105 Days ), Grain colour (Red, medium bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Tolerant to BPH, Susceptible to blast and sheath blight. Suitable for I and III crop).

Prathyasa (MO–21): Duration (100 – 110 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RRS, Moncombu) , Characteristics (Non-lodging, photo insensitive, semi-tall variety, suitable for Kuttanad. Moderately resistant for all gall midge.  BPH, sheath blight and sheath rot.).

Rohini (PTB-36): Duration (85-105 Days ), Grain colour (White, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Performs well during Virippu season. Not recommended for mundakan season. Suitable for direct seeding).

Medium duration

Aathira(PTB-51): Duration (120– 130 Days ), Grain colour (Red, short bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Semi-tall, non-lodging, moderately resistance to blast and blight diseases and BPH. Suited for I and II crop seasons and also for hilly tracts).

Aiswaraya(PTB-52): Duration (120 – 125 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Suitable for modan. Resistant to blast and blight diseases.  Resistant to BPH. Suited for first and second crop seasons).

Aswathy(PTB-37): Duration (120 – 125 Days ), Grain colour (White, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Suitable for dry sowing in the first crop season).

Bharathy(PTB-41): Duration (120 – 125 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Tolerant to BPH, moderately resistant to blast, suitable for dry sowing).

Jaya: Duration (12 – 125 Days ), Grain colour (White, long bold), Station of release ((CRRI, Cuttack)) , Characteristics (Very high yield potential, highly susceptible to BPH, and other pests).

Sabari (PTB-40):  Duration (130 – 135 Days ), Grain colour (Red, long bold), Station of release (RARS, Pattambi) , Characteristics (Susceptible to sheath blight).

Long duration

Mahsuri:  Duration (124-145 Days ), Grain colour (White, fine rice), Station of release (CRRI, Cuttack) , Characteristics (Excessive shedding of grains at maturity, susceptible to blast).
