Vermi composting Jar Unit can be utilized for decomposing the house hold/ kitchen waste. Bio waste is converted into vermi compost within a short period of 45 days with the help of earth worm.

Fill sand/metal chips up to the level of plastic tap fitted to the bottom of the jar to facilitate drainage of excess water. Then place wet coconut fibres above the sand. Earth worm can be placed above the fibre. Daily available bio waste can be added to it. Water can be sprinkled in 2 to 4 days interval if needed. The decaying waste can be down in 10 days interval. Protect the earthworms from ants and keep the jar covered with wire mesh/net.
