Alleppey Supreme: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut. The variety is resistant to leaf blotch disease. The mean yield is Yield 34.5 tonnes of fresh rhizome /ha. Curcumin content is 5.5 %. Dry recovery 19.3 %. Curcumin 5.5 %. Oleoresin 16 %.

Kanthi: Developed from CoH, Vellanikkara of KAU. Crop duration 8-9 months. Yield 8.9 tonnes of fresh rhizome /ha. Curcumin content 7.18%. Erect leaf with broad lamina, big mother rhizomes with medium bold fingers and closer internodes.

Kedaram: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut. The mean yield is Yield 34.5 tonnes of fresh rhizome /ha. Curcumin content 5.70 %. Resistant against leaf blight. Dry recovery 18.9 %. Curcumin 5.7 %. Oleoresin 14 %.

Prabha: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut. Crop duration 195 days. The mean yield of fresh turmeric is 37.5 t/ha. Dry recovery 19.5 %. Curcumin 6.5 %. Oleoresin 15.0 %. Essential oil 6.5 %.

Prathibha: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut. Reddish yellow coloured rhizome. Crop duration 188 days. Yield 39.12 tonnes of fresh rhizomes/ha. Dry recovery 18.5 %. Curcumin 6.52 %. Oleoresin 16.2 % and essential oil 6.2 %.

Sobha: Developed from CoH, Vellanikkara of KAU. Yield 7.0 tonnes of fresh rhizome /ha. Curcumin content 7.39 %. Oleoresin 19.95 %

Sona: Developed from CoH, Vellanikkara of KAU.  Crop duration 240-270 days. Medium duration variety. The rhizomes are orange yellow. Yield 4.2 tonnes of fresh rhizome /ha. Curcumin content 7.11 %. Oleoresin content of 18.00 %. Essential oil content 4.40 %.

Sudarshana: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut. Crop duration 190 days. The mean yield of fresh turmeric is 28.8 t/ha. Dry recovery 12 %. Curcumin 5.3%. Oleoresin 15.0 %. Essential oil 7 %.

Suguna: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut. Crop duration 190 days. The mean yield of fresh turmeric is 29.3t/ha. Dry recovery 12 %. Curcumin 7.3%. Oleoresin 13.5 %. Essential oil 6 %.

Suvarna: It is a variety released from IISR, Calicut.  Crop duration 200 days. The mean yield of fresh turmeric is 17.4 t/ha. Dry recovery 20 %. Curcumin 4.3%. Oleoresin 13.5 %. Essential oil 7 %.

Varna: Developed from CoH, Vellanikkara of KAU. Crop duration 240-270 days. Yield 4.2 tonnes of fresh rhizome /ha.  Medium duration variety. Curcumin content of 7.87 %. Oleoresin content 13.88 %. Essential oil 4.56 %.
