West Indian cherry-Fertilizer information
The nutrient recommendation for West Indian Cherry is 100:160:260 gram NPK/plant. The quantity of straight fertilizers to get the above dose is worked out.
The fertilizers dose needed is 217 gram urea, 888 gram rock phosphate and 434 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant. The fertilizers have to be applied in split doses.
The first split has to be applied in June-July. The urea, rock phosphate, Muriate of Potash needed at this time is 107 gram, 444 gram, 217 gram respectively per plant.
The second dose has to apply in January and the dosage is 108 gram urea, 444 gram rock phosphate, 217 gram Muriate of Potash respectively per plant.
Lime or dolomite has to be applied in acid soils two weeks ahead of fertilizer application. Organic manure @ 10 kg/plant is recommended every year.
The fertilizers have to applied when there is sufficient moisture in the soil.
